holy crap, when was the last time I updated this thing? *checks the calendar*

so yeah, I'm home sick today, and to be honest, I'm feeling a bit better.
but that's only because I just watched fullmetal vs. flame for the millionth time today
and armstrong's sparkles caught up to me after watching the fma movie for the billionth time

*sparklesparkle*
I'm feeling better already... *flexes muscles*
now, I'm off to finish my homework that was due today and I was supposed to finish over the weekend.
its srsly gonna take me all day to finish this...
*sighs*

DUDE! I might get to go to Japan in a foreign exchange program next summer?! SWEET!!

Okay, *calms down* I'm so like, mega excited about this whole deal. I might get to go to Japan next summer for 14 days in a foreign exchange program. Here's all the info that I got in this letter about a week ago - I was at AFO when I got the letter, so.. yeah. ^^;

*Confidence and leadership: Explore the Peace Pagoda in Tokyo and climb half-way up dramatic Mount Fuji, the spiritual symbol of Japan.
*Cultural understanding: Learn the art of the Japanese language and journey to an island sacred to the Shinto region.
*World awareness: Gain a deeper perspective of history as you visit Hiroshima's famous Peace Park, a memorial of WWII.
*Friendship and memories: Stay with a warm, welcoming local family, meet Japanese students at school, and take unforgettable pictures with your fellow delegates.

And this is all over a period of 14 days in Tokyo. Awesome, huh?

But I dont know if I'll be able to go - it all depends on the price. $$$$ So PRAY FOR ME, EVERYONE! This is like, once in a lifetime, so its like... huge.

Please, Lord, help me goooooo! TT^TT

*whew* Finally, mom is done using the computer for work and I can update everything! woo! So, here goes:

Hiya everyone! I'm back from my first convention, the Anime Festival of Orlando VIII. I was there August 3rd-5th, and I had the time of my life! And, as most of you already know, I got to meet Travis Willingham, the sexay voice of Roy Mustang from Full Metal Alchemist. <3333

Okay, I tend to rant quite a bit, so I'm going to go easy on all of you and try and make my summary of my misadventures there short. The first day I didn't cosplay - but I got some killer pictures like, for instance, I caught a guy cosplaying Miroku from Inu-yasha asking a girl cosplaying Tsunade from Naruto to bear his children. Its some funny stuff - and all viewable on my myspace. =D (Message me for the link if you wanna see 'em.) And speaking of Miroku, he did the same thing to me and when he hugged me he gropped my ass. XDDD I didn't mind, of course, I was just a little... *twitch twitch*

So, the first day was pretty much uneventfull, except that I got to meet Travis in his panel and OMGITWASHISBIRTHDAY~!! ^^ We all got to sing happy birthday, watch him open presents from crazed fans, and I was lucky enough to eat some of his birthday cake - which was given to him by a guy cosplaying Hughes, of all things, and it tasted sooooo good!

Oh yeah, and I gave him a birthday present, too - even though it was a day late... (I didn't know it was his b-day on Friday) What I did was, as soon as the convention ended that day I ran home and grabbed an old picture I drew of Mustang - its on my deviantart, for those of you who know. I also grabbed my inking pens and what-not and the next day I presented it to him at the Dubbing panel all colored and pretty. I was so nervous, but he liked it a whole lot and gave me a hug. YAY~!

Okay, anyway, on to the second day - which was the most fun out of the three. The first event we went to was the Introduction to Ouran: A celebration of MOE, which was a panel with cute girls dressed up as the Ouran High School Host Club members... Sounds weird, right? But it was in fact one of the greatest panels I went to. There were games, prizes, food and more - and, to top it all off, my friend Amanda got fed cake by Honey-sempai. AND I GOT IT ON TAPE! xD

After that, I waited in line for Sonny Straight's autograph - who was the voice of Maes Hughes in FMA; and Colleen Clinkenbeard, who voiced Riza Hawkeye in FMA; and, of course, Travis Willingham. <333 Even though I already got his autograph before, I asked him to sign this poster I made, which read:

"FMA (and travis) FANGIRL~! Hugs from characters are loved. Especially from Mustang and Hughes~!"

He Lol'd at the "(and travis)" part, and signed his name right by it. Then, I got a picture with him, then made my way out of the signing room with my FMA poster - sporting signatures from all three voice actors - and my sign, which I have next to me right now. XDD

Alright, on to that night, where three awesome dances took place, all going on until 2 o'clock in the morning: A formal dance - and yes, I was in formal attire, which means my homecoming dress from last year. XD - a 50's sock hop, and a RAVE afterwards. My legs are still hurting from all that dancing.

Now, three main things happened at the dance - I got to dance with Sonny Straight - or, rather, he danced with me. <3333 I got another picture with Travis, even though I was all sweaty and tired. ^^; And, one of the most fun parts, I got to dance with this guy named Chuck who cosplayed Kakashi. I know it sounds kinda weird, but he was an amazing dancer and always had a crowd of people around him. So, during the song "These Boots are Made for Walking", I got the courage to go into the circle with him, and I got my own little 3 minutes of fame with the sexay Kakashi-sensei. <33333333333

And now, to the last day: the most uneventfull of the three, there was really nothing to do except go to the FMA panel at 12:30, so me and Mandi slept in - and almost missed the panel. D: But that's alright! We got to be there for 3/4 of the time, and in the end, at the closing ceremony, I got to (partially) see Travis take his shirt off! *MEGASQUEE*

Well, there you have it. My short/not-so-short rendition of my time at my first convention. *shakes hands* My fingers hurt now... Anyway! Back to waiting for Travis, Vic and Sonny to add me to their myspace. *ROFL*

Alright, as I promised, here are the juicy details of my second attempt at driving.... at night, mind you. x3

So my mom and I reached the Publix parking lot, and for the most part it was deserted, save for a few cars dotting the parking lots - which meant I didn't freak out about hitting anyone's car, which made the driving experience a little less stressful for me and mom, thank goodness. I drove around in the parking lot for at least half an hour, practicing putting my blinker on at stop signs, parking in parking spots (I still have yet to learn how to do a k-turn and stuff like that) and after my half hour session was up, we headed home.

But as we approached my street, my mom stopped the car and said to me, "Okay, I want you to drive all the way to the end of the street, make a u-turn, then once we come up to the house, go into the driveway and park the car. Got it?" Of course I did. It seemed simple enough, so I did as I was told and got into the drivers seat, buckled up, waited for mom to get in and drove off. Everything seemed fine... until I got to the end of the street. Some drunk teenagers pulled out of their driveway, came up right behind us - I mean, they were right on my ass. It was so like: "o3o;;" - and kept their brights on until I got into my driveway.

Now I wanted to pull over and get out of their way, but my mom insisted I kept going, being the crazy driver she is... and when I finally pulled into the driveway, they sped past screaming curses at me and saying: "Get the f--- of the road!!"

.....

*sighs*
just my luck
well, at least I got home safely. ^^;

Okay, I was gonna make some awesome first post . . . but now I have nothing to write except: I dun wanna go drive in a Publix parking lot in the dark! D: I'm a newbie at this driving thing, and I simply am too scared to go driving at night - especially when it's only me second day attempting to do this thing... But my mom INSISTS that I should give it a try, but I dunno... *shrugs* We'll just see how it goes. If I don't come back, you know what happened to me. xD I hearby leave all my possessions to Ashley-chan if I perish sometime tonight. lawl
